"Beneficial Contrasts."

I‘ll try to make this thing succinct as possible.
Let me share to you how these two things affect our lives. Here it goes.

Consistency. Our dictionary in our house implies, “(the) reliability or uniformity of successive results or events.” We can relate this aspect on the human attribute as an individual who does a particular thing constantly whatever happens.

And so we are made known by the things we do constantly. Therefore, we have to be accountable on the things that we do for we can be defined by our own consistencies. There are consistencies that are beneficial and there are those that are not. We must see to it that the negative consistencies must be changed and let the positive ones be retained. We cannot make it on our own for we are subjected on one thing that is constant. But if we have a divine perspective and reason why we will purpose it in our hearts to remain consistent on the (good and beneficial) things that we do, transpiring this word will never be too hard for us to exercise. The background of this idea rests on this verse that’s sometimes taken for granted yet if we contemplate it further depicts the best example of what consistency is all about. “Jesus Christ is the same, yesterday, today and forever.”*

I am really grateful that we have this someone who’s love, concern, and plans for us never changes in which we can fully trust, fully rely, and fully depend our lives with. I was just wondering if Jesus, for the longest time running (in respect to our timetable), thought of having a break of doing what He’s doing. Let’s say a day-off. I can’t imagine what will happen. But thank God He’s not bound to our limited time (for a day to Him is a thousand years to us) and He has no problem of enjoying and remaining who He is, and doing what He does to us. :)

Experiencing Jesus, His love, and His power in every joys and pains and every highs and lows of our lives has given us a substantiation to say the He will stay the same no matter what. How good it is to adapt that kind of consistency in the things that we do in ourselves and what we do for others.

In this fast paced, changing, deceitful world, authenticity does matter nowadays. It can make us different from others and it just shows up when we do or act certain things that we do continually. And the world needs someone that they can trust. What you do constantly will always serve as your trademark which can impact and inspire others. Never diminish the importance of your consistency wherever you are, whatever you do, and to whomever it may be given. You never know how it blesses, motivates, and encourages the people who sees and observes you.

Consistency can also be defined as the capacity to remain faithful always. By grasping the revelation that the consistent one lives inside of us, we can have the same attribute in doing what’s right and necessary constantly in every facets of our lives knowing that God is at work with us and we do it for the sake of the consistent one who lives inside of us.

Change.
From the same source it states, “A transformation or transition from one state, condition, or phase to another; the act, process, or result of altering or modifying.” It’s a good thing that can happen to make you and this can be the worst thing as well to break you.

We embrace change to improve, develop and expand ourselves more even greater. A crucial event that takes place as we realize things and when embraced properly makes us becoming more efficient, more significant, more lively, and most of all, more wisely. The premise of change that we should undergo in our lives must not be based on the standards of this world that’s always trying so hard in altering the divine identity we already have, and tries to mislead us to get our approval from it to determine our sense of value, worth, and significance that’s so hollow and superficial. But good thing there’s a passage that speaks about the basis of the change that we must subject our lives with.

The idea of this thing rests on this verse. “Don’t copy the behavior and customs of this world, but let God transform you into a new person by changing the way you think. Then you will know what God wants you to do, and you will know how good and pleasant and perfect His will really is”.** We must let God transform us first. On our part, there’s a course of action that must occur. By changing the way we think of ourselves, of who God is to you, of the perspective that you want to see in yourself, and by seeing change as an avenue for change, a transition process by His Spirit takes into play. And it just happens when you read His Word and you seek His presence daily. When we desire to change first what’s on the inside, it’s easy to make it on the outside. Through time as we pass through this process, God is revealing unto us what are the things that we must do. Then, out of our own desire and discipline He gives us the willingness and the enablement to obey His purpose, and guess what happens eventually? We become aware of God’s direction, and change is manifested to us.

And it takes a recklessly abandoned permission from us to make it transpired. As we let God do His thing for us (being a transformer) and we do our thing for Him (being the doer), we’ll see change as an asset to modify our beliefs and standpoints, correct our habits, and rectify our behaviors. Well, it is easier being said than done but when we embrace change under God’s standards, the benefits are immeasurable and we will be changed from glory to glory.

From that change, we can impart it in every aspect of our system, every pillar of society, and in every part of our nation.

We are changing. That’s a fact. But the question is, “Is it for the better?”***

To be changed by Him is the greatest cry we can ever ask. To bring change for Him is the greatest thing that will never be an unending task.
                                           ---------
Your consistency calls for change. And your change calls for consistency. It’s good to make a decision to change and then to follow through the discipline required to make that change permanent. It’s good as well to make a choice to be consistent, and consider the changes you’ve gone through to make that consistency change you forever.

These words are cheap compared to the costs of actions that you’ll do when you observe these things in life. Actually, we’re doing these two things that we are unconsciously aware. What I’ve shared is just a matter of maximizing these two things albeit contrasts are relatedly beneficial to us when applied correctly in every manner of our lives (in studies, work, family, relationships, ministry and everything) until you die.

Consistency and change are two great opposite aspects that can never be united because of the differences that it emphasizes. But only at these two words also we can reach success, stability and fulfillment we want to see in our lives. Think of the things that you want to do in life, and I bet you cannot set aside these two things and realize that you can’t live without these two, finding yourself in the end doing the two.

This has served as a great reminder for me as well and applying it at this moment of my life where I’m in today, I came into this realization. I want to be consistent but not to the point of being stucked. I want to be changed not because of sheer obligation but because of the transformation that I want to manifest in me by God.

Only in these two contrasting things you can experience great and lasting benefits.
